Kingston man charged with murder after allegedly attacking ex-girlfriend's family
Police have charged 30-year-old Kevin Bailey with murder and other offences after he allegedly shot two relatives of his former girlfriend in Bull Bay, St Andrew, last November. One died and the other left injured.
The accused, Kevin Bailey, a procurement officer of Harbour View, Kingston 17, was arrested in St Mary on February 2, after being named in the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Wanted Wednesdays campaign, the force said Wednesday.
According to the Kingston Eastern police said Bailey has been charged with murder, wounding with intent, using a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
The charges stem from an incident in the community of 10 Miles, Bull Bay, on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Police said that about 8:30 p.m., Bailey went to the home of relatives of his former girlfriend and made enquiries about her.
During the interaction, he allegedly removed a firearm from his waistband and opened fire, injuring two relatives.
Investigators said Bailey then escaped on foot.
Both injured individuals were taken to hospital, where 28-year-old truck driver Rai-Ronaldo Fry was pronounced dead.
