St Mary taxi driver charged for stabbing man during dispute

A St Mary taxi operator has been charged for stabbing a man during an altercation.

He is 42-year-old Damion Ellis, otherwise called ‘Bradley,’ who is facing the offence of wounding with intent.

He is scheduled to go to court on February 5.

Reports from the Retreat police are that about 10:30 p.m. on Monday in Three Hills, Ellis and another man got into a verbal confrontation.

It is reported that the two became physical when Ellis used a knife to inflict stab

wounds to the man.

The man was assisted to hospital, where he was admitted in serious but stable condition.

A report was made to the police, and Ellis was apprehended and subsequently charged.
