Smith satisfies with new joint task force

Mr. Smith said he is encouraged by the success of the new joint police/military task force.



The task force was setup in December last year as part of efforts to curb the spiralling crime rate especially shootings and murders.



He also said since the establishment of the task force, several wanted men have been taken off the streets.



Mr. Smith reported that last year a total of 630 guns were recovered islandwide.
