Stitch up dress code at church

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am 100 per cent in agreement with Minister of Youth Lisa Hanna's comments at the Duanvale funeral regarding the way our women and men attire themselves going to the house of God.

Women have lost all sense of shame. We have lost respect for ourselves, for our men, and for the house of God!

The Bible says a woman should adorn herself with shamefacedness and sobriety. Certain parts of a woman's body should never be exposed in public. The way we dress ourselves and our daughters is a shame and disgrace!

I went to a graduation held at a church and I have seen beachwear more modest than some of the women's so-called dresses. Some had the heart to be pulling down the few inches of cloth they had on. Why not make one's clothes the right length from the start?

The Church needs to take a stand and insist on decency in dress!
