Man charged for home invasion, machete attack in Stony Hill

A man who was among persons who broke into a house in Stony Hill, St Andrew and attacked the occupant with machetes has been arrested and charged.

He is 40-year-old construction worker Abraham Brown, who is charged with burglary and wounding with intent.

His court date is being arranged.

The police say the incident happened on Friday, December 12, 2025.

Reports from the police are that about 8:00 p.m., Brown was among a group of men armed with machetes who forcibly gained entry to a man’s house, where they reportedly attacked him, inflicting chop wounds to various parts of his body.

The men then escaped on foot in the area.

The injured man was assisted to hospital by residents, where he was admitted.

A report regarding the incident was later made to the police.

On Monday, January 19, Brown was arrested.

He was later charged following a question-and-answer session.
