Drunk man charged for allegedly assaulting cop at police station in Manchester

A Manchester man accused of attacking a policeman while intoxicated at a police station has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He is 42-year-old Trevor Johnson, a resident of Lower Christiana.

Reports from the Mandeville police are that about 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, Johnson was brought to the station by citizens after he became intoxicated and was behaving in a disorderly manner.

While at the station, he was instructed to sit but reportedly became boisterous and attacked the constable.

The police said he was subdued with the assistance of other personnel, after which the officer complained of severe pain in his lower back.

The injured officer was assisted to a medical facility for treatment, and Johnson was subsequently charged with the offence.

Johnson is scheduled to appear at the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday, January 7.
