Labour Day 2016, A Corporate Affair
Digicel:
Digicel Foundation went out under this year's Labour Day theme: 'For Health's Sake' work on projects in Kingston and Montego Bay. They spent the day reviving an agricultural community project which included planting seedlings in the greenhouse as well as landscaping the grounds.
Berger Paints:
Berger Paints focused on the Seaview Gardens Primary School and the Kingston Central Police Station. The company has for years, assisted various charities in Jamaica, focusing on education, supporting civil servants and sports.
Berger also sponsors numerous projects islandwide including community, retirement and children's homes projects. Staff members gave a facelift to the administrative buildings and interview rooms of the police station and repainted the perimeter wall of the school.
Guardian Group:
The team from the Guardian Group spent time labouring at the University Hospital of the West Indies' paediatric ward and intensive care unit.
Sagicor Group:
The Sagicor contingent took its show on the road to Fyfes Pen Early Institution in St Elizabeth, as well as Central Branch and Allman Town Infant schools in Kingston.
