PATH payouts at Paymaster

Beneficiaries under the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH) who pick up their payments at large post offices in urban centres will be paid cash in May at Paymaster locations.

This was announced by permanent secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Collette Roberts Risden, at a meeting on Wednesday of the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee.

The ministry is also advising that a staggered payment system will be introduced using the names of beneficiaries in alphabetical order in keeping with social-distancing protocols.

The permanent secretary pointed out that more than 1,000 persons usually collect PATH benefits at large post offices, which would pose a challenge to maintaining the mandated six-foot distance.
