A saddened Jamaica on March 16, 1997, buried one of its famous sons, former Prime Minister Michael Manley, in a ceremony witnessed by thousands. Dignitaries from more than 60 countries came together in mourning for the 72-year-old Manley, who died of cancer on March 6.
