Dad loses car over son’s massive iTunes bill

A man was forced to sell his family car after his son racked up a £1,300 iTunes bill while playing a game.

Ashaz Mutasa, seven, purchased a number of expensive top-ups while he was playing the mobile game 'Dragons: Rise of Berk' and his father Muhammad only realised what had happened when he found 29 emails on his account.

The add-ons ranged in price from £1.99 to £99.99 and Muhammad had no option but to sell his Toyota Aygo to pay the £1,289.70 bill.

Mutasa, from Colwyn Bay in Wales, said: "Initially, my thought was that I had been scammed. I never thought it would be possible to spend that much money on a kids' game."

He also explained that he turned his ire on customer services after being forced to pay the money.

Mutasa shared: "I said to customer services, 'Well done, you've ripped me off, you have succeeded in ripping my child off'."
