Dodridge Miller, who has headed Sagicor Financial Company for over two decades, is retiring at the end of March and will be succeeded by the regional insurance group’s finance chief.

Miller will remain on the company’s board, while Andre Mousseau will be assigned a seat on April 1, when he takes over as president and chief executive officer.

Mousseau, who is now chief financial officer and chief operating officer, joined the Barbados-based company in 2019. The search for a successor for his job is ongoing.

“Andre has worked hand in hand with Dodridge in developing and executing Sagicor’s strategy since he joined the company in 2019,” Chairman of Sagicor Mahmood Khimji said in a statement. “We believe Andre is the right individual to drive forward with the next stage of Sagicor’s growth,” Khimji said.

Miller’s entire career at Sagicor Financial spans more than 30 years. He was promoted to president and CEO in 2002.

The regional company, once known as Sagicor Financial Corporation prior to its acquisition by North American investors, is a US$10-billion operation whose holdings include Sagicor Group Jamaica and other financial businesses across the Caribbean and in the United States.
