Another gun find under St James State of Emergency
The police say the state of emergency in St James continues to reap success following a firearm seizure and the arrest of three persons on suspicion of lottery scamming yesterday.
According to the police, during search operations about 2 o'clock in the afternoon, a joint police/military team seized one Glock pistol and two empty Glock magazines.
The police have now recovered about 11 weapons under the state of emergency.
They say the latest find was along a fence line on premises in Cherry Gardens in Norwood.
The team also arrested three persons in relation to paraphernalia allegedly related to the lottery scamming.
The police say their identities are being withheld at this time as the St. James Anti-Lottery Scamming Task Force continues to investigate.
